WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT SUSTAINABLE E-MOBILITY?
Sustainable Electric Mobility is an integrated mobility concept in which new technologies and ICT systems (information and communication technology) come into play that allow the use of “intelligent” and innovative means and modalities to travel or move: vehicles and electric bikes. This term lso includes a more rational management of the required infrastructures to encourage their use.
Mobility is one of the cornerstones of the smart city, in fact, it is one of the six essential factors for a city to be defined as “intelligent” and green. Other elements to consider are the economy, environment, people, purchasing power and governance. Intelligent mobility is an expanding area for research and planning of urban and non-urban spaces, and everything related to the transport of goods, people, information, resources and energy.
It is based on the integration of mobility elements with the optimization of all products and services that can affect the city. The objective is to make the city more sustainable, thus creating a circular economy.
Know the position of the nearest charging station, know the availability, reserve the charging point, organize a long trip that provides adequate stops according to the autonomy of your electric vehicle, load your vehicle. Managing charging stations are fundamental elements for the promotion of a sustainable Electric Mobility and are services that we provide.
WHY WILL IT BE MANDATORY TO ADAPT TO
The revolution in Electric Mobility has already begun: the European Directive 2014/94 / EU on the Deployment of Alternative Fuels Initiative (DAFI) states that, as of 2019, each new house built or renovated in Europe will have to be equipped with at least one charging point for electric cars.
The consumption of fossil fuels is the main cause of the growing contamination that, especially in urban areas, is causing local authorities to implement traffic restriction plans for vehicles.
The automotive industry and energy suppliers are moving towards alternative mobility systems to reduce polluting emissions, while at the same time generating savings in fuel costs.
The alternative is to develop a network of charging points for public use, in order to encourage the use of electric vehicles, effectively reducing polluting emissions and fostering a green circular economy.
THE TECHNOLOGY OF ELECTRIC RECHARGES
Electric vehicles have a motor that uses the energy stored in a “tank” consisting of rechargeable batteries. Electric propulsion provides excellent vehicle performance, and as it is non-polluting, it protects the environment and promotes a circular economy and an alternative form of eco-sustainability.
IMPACT ON THE ELECTRO-ENERGY SYSTEM
To boost the growth of demand for electric vehicles, it is necessary to create the infrastructure to support it through electric recharging stations instead of fossil fuel distributors.
NUMBER OF ENDOTHERMIC AND ELECTRIC VEHICLES TODAY IN EUROPE
- 36 million endothermic vehicles
- 763.475 electric and hybrid vehicles*
There are 36 million endothermic vehicles currently in circulation, which will soon be exchanged for electric or hybrid vehicles.
